Which Ronarq apps work without internet

Four of the five apps we make run entirely on the device. No account, no sync, no request to a server while you use them. This page lists what that means for each one.

Which apps work offline?

Ads in the two games appear between runs, not during them. With no connection the game keeps playing and the ad slot is simply skipped.

Why build this way?

Two reasons, and neither of them is a philosophy.

The first is that a server is a thing that can be down. An app that reads and writes only local storage has no outage mode. The second is that storing nothing on a server is the shortest path to collecting nothing about you — there is no account, so there is no profile to leak.

What you give up

Offline-only has a real cost, and it is worth stating plainly: your data lives on one device. If you move to a new phone without a device-to-device transfer or an encrypted backup, the history does not follow you.

That is the trade we made. For a food diary or a study timer it is the right one; for something you would want on three devices at once, it would not be.
